Welcome to Skillkit. This handbook provides important information about your training with us.

About Us

Skillkit delivers nationally accredited first aid and workplace training on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909). All training is delivered on-site at your workplace or a venue of your choice.

Before Your Training

Pre-Learning

Most courses require completion of online pre-learning before attending the face-to-face session. You will receive:

  • Login details via email after booking
  • Instructions on how to access the learning portal
  • A completion certificate to bring to your training
  • Pre-learning typically takes 1-2 hours and must be completed at least 24 hours before your training session.

    What to Bring

  • Valid photo identification (driver's licence, passport, or proof of age card)
  • Pre-learning completion certificate
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for practical activities
  • What We Provide

  • All training equipment and materials
  • Refreshments (water)
  • Certificate of completion
  • During Your Training

    Attendance

    You must attend the full training session to be eligible for certification. If you are running late or cannot attend, please contact us immediately.

    Assessment

    Training includes both theory and practical assessments. You will need to demonstrate competency in:

  • Knowledge questions
  • Practical skills (e.g., CPR on manikins)
  • Scenario-based activities
  • Support

    If you require any assistance or support during training, please speak with your trainer. We can make reasonable adjustments for participants with specific needs.

    After Your Training

    Certification

    Upon successful completion, you will receive:

  • A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment
  • Access to your digital certificate via the Allens Training portal
  • Certificates are typically available within 5 business days.

    Validity

  • CPR (HLTAID009): Valid for 12 months
  • First Aid (HLTAID011, HLTAID012): Valid for 3 years (CPR component requires annual renewal)
  • Manual Handling (HLTWHS005): No expiry, but regular refresher training is recommended

  • Complete all pre-learning requirements
  • Attend training on time and for the full duration
  • Participate actively in all activities
  • Behave respectfully towards trainers and other participants
  • Provide accurate personal information
  • Complaints and Appeals

    If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your training or assessment:

  • Speak with your trainer in the first instance
  • If unresolved, email us at info@skillkit.com.au
  • We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days
  • We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days
  • For assessment appeals, you must submit your appeal in writing within 14 days of receiving your assessment result.
